Biographical Information:
Born in Wilmington, Ohio on April 23rd, 1860 to Austin Blackmore and Eliza Ann Mills, Emily was the middle child of three children. There was an older brother, Frank Clifford, and a younger sister, Flora Blanche. Went by the nickname "May"1. Was married to John William Rodgers on May 9th, 1886 in Wilmington, Ohio. They had 4 children, they were:
- Gertrude May - 1887 to 1984
- Florence Blackmore - 1889 to 1973
- Emma Elizabeth - 1892 to 1943
- Eugene Clifford - 1895 to 1896
Emily passed away on June 27th, 1896 in Junction City, Kansas only a few months after her infant son died. She was only 36 years old. She was buried a few days later on June 29th in Junction City's Highland Cemetery.
